Orange Shirt Day

Mr. Kelly visited us again today and helped us use squares, rectangles and some other shapes as well to create robots using Sharpies. We drew a heart in our robots and colored it in orange, just like the color of our shirts, in honor of Orange Shirt Day to remember that each child matters. We read the book Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert and created our own leaf masterpieces. AM students attended the Orange Shirt Day assembly and PM students had centres. Some students in the yellow group had the opportunity to share their happiness museum items.

- Ask your child what they made out of their leaves today.
- Ask your child to draw a robot.
