Feather Painting

We continued exploring the book Birds by Daphne De Maurer and were inspired by the words, "If birds made marks with their tail feathers when they flew, think what the sky would look like." We worked together to make different lines with fun sounds effects before using feathers and paint to imagine what patterns birds make in the sky.
We continued enjoy sharing, writing, and reading books by our own Kindergarten authors and for Read- A- Thon had two grade 3/4 buddies visit us in the morning and afternoon to read a book of their choice to us. Mr. Simmons also read a book Leonardo, the Terrible Monster by Mo Willems.
We had literacy centers where we used different resources such as iPads, manipulatives (such as teddy bear counters, colorful squares, gems, pompoms), stamps, etc.

- Don't forget to dress up as your favorite book character tomorrow.

- We are still looking for volunteers for our AM field trip this Friday. Please contact your child's responsibility teacher and sign up on Signup Genius.
