Terrific Tuesday

We had dance again with Mr. Tai and we are learning an amazing dance routine that cannot wait to share with all our parents on Thursday, October 18th. We read the book, Math Fables by Greg Tang to inspire us for our math activities. We continued working with our ten frames and bingo counters to practice counting and even learned a really fun math game called "Power of Ten" We had centers and continued to work on our 5 little pumpkins poem. We also were excited about the beautiful weather and took a huge parachute outside and played a few games.

- Ask your child to show you the new dance moves they learned today.
- Encourage your child to fill someone's bucket today.
- Ask your child to explain the math game they learned today.
Go for a walk in the community and take a picture of your child in your their favorite outdoor nature space. Thank you to those families who have already printed off photos. If you haven't already done so, please do so immediately so we can have them up for display on for the Student Led Learning Walk.

We will be going for a community walk tomorrow.

There is a field trip for PM Kindergarten students this Friday, October 19 2018 at the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. There is no school for AM Kindergarten.

Important Updates and Reminders:

Kindergarten families are invited this Thursday to our first Student Led Learning Walk. Please see important information below.

- There is a lost and found in front of the office. We will be putting all Kindergarten lost items there starting today. If your child has lost items, please visit the office (through the front doors) after students have been dismissed to find any items your child may have lost. Thank you.

- PM students received Field trip forms for the Glenbow Ranch. Please fill and return as soon as possible. AM students will receive their forms tomorrow.

- Please make sure that all of your child's belongings are labeled with first and last names as our lost and found bin continues to grow. This includes mittens, hats, gloves, jackets, snow pants, and boots.
- Please send back the colored folders and any forms.

As we begin our study of the natural world around us, we are asking each child to bring in a photo of themselves playing in a natural setting found within the community of Tuscany. Please note that these photos will be displayed at school. A natural setting could include your front yard, back yard, the Tuscany coulee, ponds, green space, park, ravine, etc).
