Grey Cup! Drumming! Patterns! Lines! Reindeers!

The AM kindergarten students had a special visit from Mr. Kelly and Ewa this morning, an arts specialist, who helped us learn more about lines. We created creative line art with her using sharpies, but also our voices and bodies. The PM students had art with Mr. Kelly where they drew reindeers using their visual journals and sharpies. We had lots of new winter themed centers today as well. We have also started our math centers where students are now working in three groups and working on patterns. AM students also had a special visit from Mark Kilam, coach of the Calgary Stampeders who brought in the Grey Cup. The red and green groups also had drumming today. It was a very eventful day for sure, however we learned about lots of different things!

There is no school this Friday, December 7th. It is a Non-Instruction Day.

The blue and yellow groups will be walking to Sobeys on Wednesday. Please dress for the weather. There is still room for more volunteers so please email your volunteer coordinator if you are able to volunteer. Times are below:
- Blue: 9:45 AM - 11:15 AM
- Yellow: 12:45 PM - 2:15 PM

Reminder that yellow and blue group students will not need to bring a snack on Wednesday as they will be provided cheese pizza and juice (unless they have allergies and you have already let the teacher know).

Our drumming residency started today and the sounds of drums have filled the hallways. Our students will be learning songs to share with you on the morning of December 14th in a similar fashion to our performances from Sound Kreations. The schedule with specific times is being confirmed with our instructor today and will be available tomorrow. However, here are our tentative times:

AM: 9:30 AM on Friday December 14th

PM: 2:30 PM on Thursday, December 13th

Important Updates and Reminders:
