PM Community Walk and Peace Assembly

PM Kindergarten students went on a community walk in Tuscany today. We went to the Tipi Forest, Waterfall Valley, and Cat Tail Pond. We saw and heard different birds and some of us saw animal tracks as well in the snow. We had snack before we headed to the Hope Pod's beautiful peace assembly. We learned more about community and how we can work together to be peaceful together. We really enjoyed their dance and songs! We ended our morning by reading the book What Does it Mean To Be Kind by Rana DiOrio and discussing what we can do to be kind kinders.

Important Updates and Information:
- Swimming will take place starting Tuesday, April 16. Please send your child to school with their bathing suit on under their clothes. Please send a smaller separate swim bag with a towel and underwear in it. Do not forget to send goggles if your child needs them for swimming. We will not have much time to eat so we ask that you only send one small snack (1 granola bar, cheese string, or apple only) with your child in their swim bag.

We are going to be creating our very first Eric Harvie School ice cream parlour in Kindergarten. We are looking for things like empty and clean ice cream containers (pint sized) with the lid, old plastic spice jars, ice cream scoops, pompoms, and other relevant things. Please feel free to email us if you have anything else you would like to donate.

- In an effort to be more environmentally friendly and discourage waste of food, we are encouraging students to bring litter-less snacks from home. Going forward, students will be bringing home any garbage and left over food home in their snack kits.

- 'I Am Unique' forms were sent home with your child at the beginning of the week. Please go through and fill out this form with your child, and choose a baby picture that your child would like to share with the class and send them BY MONDAY, April 15. We will begin sharing next Tuesday, April 16th!
