Building 3D Shapes

AM students did a wonderful job performing at the Volunteer Tea this morning. We are all so thankful for all the help we have received from parent volunteers this year. Students were given the challenge of using modeling clay, toothpicks, and a template mat with 4 shapes to recreate the shapes. Students put their thinking caps on and found creative ways of using their resources to create 3D shapes. AM students had art with Mr. Kelly where they read the book Shapes That Roll by Karen Nagel and used whiteboards and whiteboard markers to create 3D shapes and various objects. PM students played a fun game with pylons and balls in the gym with Mr. Der.

There is a field trip to the Bird Sanctuary tomorrow. AM Parents that have confirmed their child's attendance tomorrow have received an email with more information. Please meet us at the front of the school at 8:25 tomorrow morning with your child.

This was the final week for home reading. Please send back any learning commons book and home reading books you may have at home.
