Today in Kindergarten, we read the book “Not a Stick” by
Antoinette Portis. We used our imaginations to think of what else a box could
be. We had a visit from Mr. Kelly, our Fine Arts specialist who read us the
book “Ish” by Peter Reynolds. We learned that our drawings don’t have to be
perfect and we later drew “ish” lines and shapes on big pieces of papers. We
also had the chance to explore nature and various centres. Look at the pictures below to see some of the things we worked on.
- Ask your child what they found in nature.
- Ask your child which center they enjoyed most.
- Ask your child what else they imagine a box can be. If its not a box... what is it?
