Gym Day!

Today we had gym! We worked on different ways to move safely around the gym.
We read the story, Finding Wild by Megan Lloyd. We continued to talk about nature and thought of ways to help nature. AM Kindergarten had a special visitor, Mrs.Kinsman and she read a story to us. Hopefully she can visit the PM Kindergarten classes tomorrow.

  • Ask your child how they can help nature.
  • Ask your child which center they enjoyed playing at today.
  • Ask your child how they moved around the gym.

No school for AM Kindergarten on Friday, Sept 14. PM Kindergarten attends
8:25am-12:05.

Important Updates and Reminders:

A notice was sent home today in the students colored folders (red, blue, yellow, or green) about Picture Day which will take place on Monday, September 24th. Please mark your calendars and return the folders as we need them back to send future information.

Please also return completed forms back to us as soon as possible.

Responsible dog ownership is an important part of maintaining a happy, healthy dog and part of being a responsible dog owner is complying with Calgary's bylaws related to dogs. City bylaw states that No Dogs are allowed on school grounds, playgrounds and sports fields. While on a pathway, your dog must be on a leash.

It has been brought to our attention that many parents are cutting across the field when bringing their afternoon Kindergarten students to school. At this time, all the other students are out in the field for their lunch recess. The CBE safety protocol requires that parents only access the school on paved sidewalks and stairways. We know that this poses a challenge for parents/caregivers with strollers and would ask that you use the grass by the stairs at the front of the school to access the compound. This will ensure that all students on the playground are safe under lunchroom supervisor care, as they do not readily recognize parents from strangers.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
