Literacy Day

We started our literacy centers today where some of us worked on letter recognition, letter sounds and word families. We had centers where we were introduced to a new centre: A Vet Clinic! Students pretended to be vets and took care of the different animals. We also started our writing journals. Today, we focussed on the letter "C." C is for community. Mr.Kelly also began working with us on drawings of our houses and will continue to do so over the next few weeks.

If your child was at school today, they received a book from The Canadian Children's Book Centre. Please keep this book at home and read it with your child. 

The red group is heading to the fire station tomorrow morning. Please dress for the weather as we are walking over there. Blue group will also be going outside so please dress for the weather. 

Just a friendly reminder to have an extra change of clothes in your child's backpack (just in case).

AM Kindergarten attends this Friday, Nov.16. There is no school for PM Kindergarten this Friday, Nov. 16.
