Our community

We had some rich discussions about what our community is and the role different individuals play within it. We talked about doctors, teachers, optometrists, firemen, dentists, police officers, etc. and we also made a chart to represent who our favorite community helpers were. Police officers were the students' most favorite in the AM and PM, especially after the amazing presentation yesterday by our community police officer, Constable Will. We also talked about Zones of Regulation, and reviewed what each of the four zones represent and ways we can regulate ourselves to get to the green zone. We also had art with Mr. Kelly, where we drew fishes or our school.

Ask your child:

- to talk about the 4 zones of regulation (red, green, blue, yellow)

- to talk about what community helpers are in our community of Tuscany 
- who their favorite community member is

Important Updates and Reminders:
- Communication colored folders- Please help us by reminding and encouraging your child to take their folders out of their backpacks at the beginning of class on a daily basis. There is important information going to and from school and we rely on these folders.


-Snack time happens during centres. This means that your child may not choose to eat everyday. Please remember to send one small snack to school that they can quickly eat. We do however give continuous reminders before snack time ends.

- Please send your house photos by Friday as we need them for an upcoming activity.
