X is for X-Ray

We continued with our literacy centers today. During printing, we worked on X is for X-Ray. We had centers as well and continued our discussions about community helpers. See below to see some of our favorite community helpers. 

The green and red group will be walking to Sobeys tomorrow. Please dress for the weather. Reminder that students will not need to bring a snack (unless they have allergies and you have let the teacher know) because they will be given pizza and juice there. 

Blue and yellow groups will still need to bring a snack.

You must have a valid police clearance to volunteer. 

PM Kindergarten attends Friday, November 30th from 8:25-12:05. There is no school for AM students on Friday.


Ask your child:-

- To copy the word X-ray at home today.

- Which community helper they want to be when they grow up and have them tell you what important role they play in our community.

- Read at home for 20 minutes.

Important Updates and Reminders:

- We will be painting over the next few weeks so please send your child with clothes that you are ok getting paint on or short sleeved shirts. We are also hoping to get donations of clean glass jars with lids for storing paint (baby food jars, mason jars, pickle jars, etc.).

- Forms about ordering Poinsettias were sent home. Please return them no later than Wednesday, November 28, 2018. When you place poinsettia orders and send in cheques, please make them payable to Eric Harvie School. 

- Please send the folders back. Just a reminder that we keep the folders at home and use them at school to send information home. They are not sent home on a daily basis.

- Just a friendly reminder to always have an extra change of clothes in your child's backpack.
