Stars and Titanic!

Both AM and PM groups have found separate interests- The AM kindergarten kids cannot stop talking about the Titanic and the PM students want to know all about stars! We have been reading books about both topics and it is cool to see the students' interest! We did personal journals in the morning and some students had gym while others had art with Mr. Kelly. In the afternoon, we had gym and art with Mr. Kelly and Mr. Der. We continued working on drawing characters and scenes from Oliver Jeffers' books including Stuck and How to Catch A Star. We also had centers and snack and took photos of us in one of the four zones: red, green, blue, or yellow!

 - Home reading books travel between home and school in our colored folders so please ensure that we get them ASAP.  Students will not bring home a reading book without a folder.

- Both books and folders must be returned to get a new book!

- Please continue sending us environmental print! Our wall is growing and we are so excited to add more and more words we can read each day!

Fun snack is happening tomorrow, Tuesday, January 29, 2019.

- Please send us materials on Wednesday for our upcoming activity in the makerspace!

Our annual Winter Sports Day is coming up.  We are having it on the Global School Play Day, February 6, 2019.  We would love to have you join us as a volunteer.  The time commitment will be from 11:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  See below for a link to sign up.  Thank you.
