The day after spring break

Welcome back!

AM Kindergarten students shared what they did over the spring break in their personal journals today. Some AM students and all PM students had art with Mr. Kelly and gym with Mr. Der. We drew amazing owls using individual whiteboards and whiteboard markers. We also read the book A Day in Canada by Per-Henrik Gürth and had a discussion about what animals live in Canada. Students then chose what animals they would like to study more closely: wolves, bears, moose, or great horned owls. We also had Mrs. Kinsman visit us to talk to us about being kind Canadians and introducing us to secret missions that will help us be kinder and more peaceful members of our community. We cannot wait to see what our first secret kindness challenge is tomorrow. We also had centres and snack where many of us continued making mini books, playing with our bird sensory bins, and pretending to camp with our classmates.

Please read carefully for important updates:

- We are in urgent need of plastic yogurt or sour cream lids for an upcoming exciting project. Please send us any extras you may have ASAP. We are looking for standard size lids so please see picture below for measurements. Thank you!

- A new sign up genius for upcoming swimming lessons [April 16, 17, 18, (Tuesday-Thursday) and 23, 24 (Tuesday- Wednesday)] has been created. You must have a valid police clearance done through our school. Please sign up using this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0E4CA8A82CA2FF2-kindergarten

- AM Kindergarten will be going on a community walk on Friday, April 5 and PM Kindergarten will be going the next Friday, April 12. We would love to have parent volunteers join us. Please watch your emails for more information from our lovely volunteer coordinators Angie Lang (AM) and Ashley Willetts (PM). Just a reminder that you will need a valid police clearance. Thank you.

We hope everyone had a nice and relaxing spring break!
