Feathers!

Today we worked with our puppet residency and continued to add more to our bird puppets. Thank you to those volunteers who cut so many feathers for us and who came in today to help us create our amazing birds. We appreciate your time and can't wait to share them with you.
AM kindergarten students started their morning with a surprise tour of a police check stop vehicle and speaking with two police officers.
PM kindergarten students continued working on practicing for their peace assembly and had Mr. Neily, grade 3/4 teacher from the Hope Pod visit us to help us prepare!

This Friday, May 10 is AM Kindergarten. There is no school for PM Kindergarten. We will be going for a community walk from 9:30am-10:30am before the grade 3/4 Peace Assembly where we will be in the audience.

This spring we are selling beautiful, locally grown flowers, and plants to help raise money for our programs. Fundraising is always a vital part of ensuring the students have the best year possible. The money raised is used to help cover costs for programs, equipment, resources, and extra-curricular activities. It also takes some of the financial burden off the parents – allowing more kids to participate in activities, such as Artists in Residence (WP Puppeteers) and school special events (including our Film Festival in June).

Important Notes:
Please ensure customers makes cheques payable to: Eric Harvie School
Our team website (to place online orders and view plants in color) is located at:https://ericharvie.growingsmilesfundraising.com/home

Please try to sell only to your family, friends and close neighbors. (Parents may take order forms to work to collect sales if desired).
We do not encourage young students soliciting door-to-door sales for safety reasons. Plants are supplied by DeVry Greenhouses.
By purchasing a beautiful plant(s) this spring, not only will you be spreading summer cheer, you will also be supporting an amazing cause! Notices will sent home today Thursday, April 18/19 or April 23/19 and must be returned no later thanMonday, May 13/19. All plants ordered will be available for pick up at Eric Harvie School on May 30 and 31/19 at the office between 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
